The themes for the September-October lessons of this Leader's Guide are based on the lives of Old Testament Prophets. They are: Zeal (Elijah); Devotion (Elisha); Mercy (Joel); Moldable (Jeremiah); Volunteer (Isaiah); Consistent (Daniel); Vigilant (Ezekiel); and Choices (Haggai).
The themes for the November issue are based on the life of Ruth. They are Rejoicing, Sensitive to the Holy Spirit, Justification, Thanksgiving, and Appreciation.
The December themes study names of Jesus. The themes are Anticipation (Messiah); God's Presence (Emmanuel); Salvation (Saviour); and Peace (Prince of Peace).
